Wow, that is kind of hilarious! Though I am sad that you can't find the jewelry again!!! Good luck...

If alcohol has been a daily part of your life for a while, you'll find that sleeping will be difficult or full of really vivid dreams for a while. But that should subside and you should eventually get to have REAL sleep, not zombie alcohol sleep ;)

Remember it's important for you to respond to craving by Nal+ Alcohol. Doing so prevents the dreaded ADE and constitutes a solid extinction session because your brain has an expectation of opiate rush that just does not pay off.

Hi EOB. Sounds to me like you are making great progress. Having more control has been the best part! This experience has been a roller-coaster. In weeks 14 and 15 I have been unable to get a buzz. Week 14 started with my buzz being so slight with this past Saturday I had two bottles of wine and HARDLY NOTHING. Why not stop at one bottle? Because I am starting to miss the buzz. This kind of reminds me now on being on Chantix. Hope to hear from you more EOB.

digetic2: What is ADE? Also, like EOB I have experienced a few times other then my usual times for my craving. In weeks 15+ shouldn't I just fight it a little more?

ADE is the alcohol deprivation effect. It's what happens when you abstain and white-knuckle it through your cravings and then go crazy and binge. Hence, why AA usually doesn't work. If you are really craving, drink (on nal of course). But just think about it - don't just grab the bottle. That's mostly what i mean by habit. As long as you're having a dialogue in your brain on whether or not you want that drink, I think you're doing what needs to be done.
EOB, as for the science behind the honeymoon, I'm not sure. The way I see it is that the honeymoon is a guaranteed sign that you are physiologically receptive to nal, which means that TSM should work, because extinction should happen every time you drink. No honeymoon doesn't mean you're not a responder, however. I think something like 80% of people are responders to nal in the long run, so these are quite good odds.

Congrats, EOB, on your recent wine sharing! I'm the same way - could drink it all and definitely drink faster than others. But with Nal I'm slowing down - and much more aware of my drinking vs. others'.

I, too, am tired all the time now, can barely keep my eyes open! I'm only drinking on the weekends, with nal of course, but this sleepiness is affecting me all the time! I can't figure out if it's the nal or just because I'm tired! but I'm not going to stop nal to find out!

Good luck, nal on!
