The verdict is still out, but it appears that naltrexone does not extinguish addiction to pot.

It is highly unlikely that naltrexone will work for cannabis. Another medication Acomplia (approved for obesity/nicotine) - withdrawn in some countries due to adverse side - effects, acted as a cannabinoid antagonist... and trials showed that it could extinguish cannabis intake and craving. But until we have a new medication for this try traditional methods.
