Re-addicted (kinda) Going For The Second Round

Hi Everyone,

I experienced the honeymoon period and consequently a drastic decrease in my drinking over about 6 months of the Sinclair Method. 95% of the time, I took 50 mg 45 minutes to an hour before every drinking session. It worked, I was as they say "cured."

Then, I found myself kind of missing the 'buzz,' but more than anything, did not desire the side effects 50 mg would cause, especially after several days to several weeks between drinking sessions, so I cut back to 25 mg. Eventually I stopped taking the medicine all together. It amazes me to this day how am I unable to recall the pain associated with my last serious bottom (detox, suicide ward in local hospital, driving drunk) before I decide to drink. So many negative things have occurred in my life due to my alcoholism, I forget about them. Needless to say I'm back to where I started before Naltrexone and it is unfortunately necessary in order to start taking the medicine again.

I'll be taking 25 mg the first couple days and then make my way to the full 50 mg. Wish me luck.
