I recently read a short article in the paper which I've copied below. In Dr. Eskapa's book he talks about the link between sugar and alcohol and how "rats bred for high alcohol drinking show an exceptionally high liking for sweets".
Is this another indication that Sinclair and Eskapa are correct?
Having A Sweet Tooth May Be Linked To Alcoholism A sweet tooth could mean you are at greater risk of becoming an alcoholic, a study suggests. Researchers from Indiana University found that MRI scans of 16 volunteers revealed that drinking a sweet solution prompted more activity in the brain's "reward" centre in those who habitually drank more. The brain's response to an intensely sweet taste could in future be used to identify people at risk of alcoholism, researchers said.
