Is River Pharmacy still filling Naltrexone orders without a prescription? I don't have insurance so I don't think it would be all that much cheaper to buy it here in the USA. Can I be assured they are legit and send good medicine? Getting ready to start TSM ASAP. Thanks in advance for anyone with info.

Hi Newguy -- I don't use River but what I've read lately is that River is requiring a letter of some kind rather than an RX. But I've also read that the people at the North American help number/address are super helpful. Just give them a ring.

Since my info is vague (sorry) let us know what you find out. For whatever reason it seems that more people who are active on the board these days are getting their RX from MDs instead of River. That's my impression anyway.

Just ordered from River Pharmacy. Didn't need a note or prescription. I did it over the phone to avoid putting my credit card info on their site. 90 pills $170 US - Only downside, 2-3 weeks to get here. Hopefully it will be on the short end of that.

Got my Nal from River. They asked for my doctor's name, just to have it on file. It did take at least a couple of weeks to get. The potency seemed fine as that is the only NAL I have used and seem to be progressing on the program. Good Luck!

Maybe this is something new from River Pharmacy - I've been using them for about 1 year and I ordered online and have never been asked to provide anything. It just takes a couple of weeks to get the Nal from India through customs and that's it. I've also never had any problems with them (good service).

Hopefully I won't get asked a bunch of questions next time I order!

River has worked for me.

However, the package was not "non-descript" as advertised, and did have a customs declaration attached. Finally, it wasn't delivered by someone in my local PO, but someone in a PS van.

These last would be a bit disconcerting, but are not because the method works and I've dealt with (and have been through) a heck of a lot worse. Hopefully, I won't have to go through it too often.

Have just placed my second order with River - My first order was made in late November 2011 and arrived in Australia (Melbourne) mid January 2012.

With my initial positive progress I don't want to run the risk of running out.

Some time back (10 years or so) I was prescribed Naltrexone (Revia) by a drug & alcohol clinic here to assist in sobriety. If called upon I can honestly say that Dr XX prescribed the drug for me but I havent had any problems with a request from River or problems with Customs.

I am using the same approach in relation to some other medical problems I have (Hypertension). I simply inform the treating Dr that I am taking Nal as part of a alcohol reduction strategy - they are fully informed about potential conflicts of medication but as they are not being asked to prescribe the drug they happily get on with their work. In Australia I believe that only approved specialists are able to prescribe Nal as a special "Government script" which has to be phoned through and authorised prior to issue. My time is more valuable than all the stuffing around and River's cost of $200 AUD ($226 USD) for 120 tabs works out pretty similar to 4x30 tab box of Revia at $32 PHB price each

Just responded to another poster on this and I too can say:
I have dealt with River for 2 years for anti-depressants, and have never had a request for Rx or letter. I recently made my first order for Naltrexone (Feb. 1, 2012) and they did NOT ask for Rx or doctor's letter or name/address, or anything. Everything went thru without a hitch as soon as payment was processed/recieved.

I hope all is well with you. I just started on the Naltrexone i recieved from River Pharm and I am "happy" other than the fact, that this generic they sell is :
a) expensive
b) not coated -- it tastes like *&#%.

I just ordered my first Rx of 90 from River for US$179.10! They said it should take 2-3 weeks to make it to Dallas. I am super-excited to get started. If I can stop consuming 500 empty alcohol calories daily over the next few months, it could make for a bikini summer!
