I just had a call (8 AM) from my bank. The card I used to purchase from alldaychemist has been used fraudulently. I have used that card for purchases TWICE EVER....both times with alldaychemist.

This has little to do with alldaychemist, more to do with international online transactions of any sort.

Fortunately for me, since I have not used the card for purchases, only banking, the bank caught it right away and put a hold on the account and it has now been canceled.

Anyway, I know transactions with international firms can be higher risk due to less diligent computer security, and I feel fortunate that this was caught by my alert bank. But, I do want to remind all the TSM members who use credit and debit cards for international purchases, to monitor your card usage.

It happens, and it has NOTHING to do with TSM (except that NAL and TSM are not commonplace in the US so we look for other sources), but a note to be aware.

Any ideas?

I received a letter from my credit card company reporting potential fraudulent charges on my card from a source out of the country (not India). It may be a complete co-incidence, but I used a card from Bank of America to buy at Alldaychemist. Funny thing though, it was not the card I used, but another card from BOA that I had not used in years. I just want to second the alert to watch your accounts (all of them). If I get more info from the fraud interview on Monday, I'll pass it along. Just to be careful. (* I opened this member name to share the info. discretely. )

I posted in another thread that the same thing happened to me after using my card for alldaychemist. I emailed them and they told me they were aware of it and had sorted the problem. Maybe it would be an idea to let them know that this happened to you too.

Follow up info:
After further investigation, I discovered that the card number that had been pilfered I actually did use for my first order of nal from Alldaychemist. As Mario suggested, I called Alldaychemist to alert them. Allday reported that they were aware that someone had hacked into their computer and that Allday had since corrected the problem. Again Mario had also reported similar results.
Bank of America reassured me that a card holder would never be responsible for any fraudulent charges even if they did go through. They had caught and refused the fraud before it went through.

Thanks to everyone who posted re: credit card issues and alldaychemist. I WILL notify them that my card was illegally used. (In my case there is NO doubt where the theft occured, that is the only charge I made on the card.) It's important for us to make sure we share this information to keep us all safe. I made the stupid mistake of using a debit card (so my husband wouldn't see the charges) and that was extra risky. I'm very lucky my bank was checking--even on a debit card.

Since I'm doing OK on half a NAL, my supply will last a long time, but I keep thinking I better get a prescription so I can buy it locally. I'll keep you posted on how THAT doc visit goes!

Time to change my attitude and believe that since TSM IS a good program and I have the evidence that it is working wonders for me, the doc will be thrilled to prescribe...right!? Law of attraction. Right!?

One option for those worried about online fraud or keeping the purchase from significant others is to purchase a visa debit gift card. Many grocery stores and banks sell them for a few dollars over the card amount. Use it for the naltrexone purchase and the remainder for gas or whatever. Problem solved.

St Vincent, well, once again you are on top of things. I never buy those cards, so I forget they exist. That is exactly what I'll do. Thanks for the great plan to keep us supplied in NAL!

No wonder you are a winner!

It was not fraud but I did have an online pharmacy order refused by my credit card company. I figured that since I never had any problems ordering through River, it was probably refused for a good reason. I can't remember which pharmacy got refused but not the one being discussed here. I did have to sign for my last order through River, but since it's not like I'm ordering heroin online, I didn't mind.

The idea of using a gift card is very smart!

The gift card doesn't work. Even though the currency is US dollars, India was listed as an unapproved country. DANG! I will not use a credit card, and frankly, I'm not about to trust a check on my account either. I guess I'll have to try a cashier's check or bank draft of some sort.

It was a great idea. I bought a VISA gift card. The enclosure said it could not be used for foreign currency, but said nothing about certain countries being excluded.

I'll let you kow what I find out.

GC, did you try to pay with the VISA gift card at checkout? River Pharmacy does business in Canada (hence the .ca at the end of their website address) I copied this from their site in regards to approved payment methods. It looks like their approved currency is US dollars and as long as your VISA gift card has an expiration and CVV code on the back it should work. I have not tried it myself, however, so someone will need to verify it works. Good luck.
