Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a doctor in Oregon who will prescribe Naltrexone. I've spoken to a few doctors who will only prescribe Naltrexone injections along with a rehab program, which I am not interested in. Thank you for your help!

Hi...I'm from New Jersey. Your best bet is to order online from River Pharmacy. It took 3wks for my shipment to arrive. I ordered enough for 3months.

I recommend reading the book thoroughly. I didn't log or count drinks, just went by my gut feeling and how I truly felt.

Be positive.

wow. thats messed up. i went to 2, 1 offered injection, and 1 referred me to a psych. and neither would let me get a word in. i finally just started calling dr's offices. i guess dr's do not like talking on the phone. i made about 15 calls, and only talked with 2. the first one wouldnt let me get a word in, and said he would just prescribe antibuse AFTER a visit. the 2nd one was awesome. he let me talk for 5 minutes, and listened! he said that he didnt really know about it and that he'd look into it and call me tomorrow. he called me back, and said that he'd prescribe it right after a liver functions test, and a UA just for opiates. and he only charged half of a regular office visit. there are good dr's out there. calling saved me a bunch of $. i would think holistic MD's would give you a script if you talked with one. there are zero in my area. i would think they are everywhere in oregon.

I have used River for about 14 months and recently there has been a great deal of discussion on this board surrounding the effectiveness of the Nordict with TSM, which is supplied by them. There certainly is not any consensus or conclusive evidence that it does not work well with TSM.

So just to be safe I ordered a batch of Naltima from All Day Chemist and have switched over to that two weeks ago. I haven't really noticed a difference, although it has only been 2 weeks so far.

Something you may want to consider prior to ordering. If you do a search on Nordict and/or Naltima I am sure that you will come across the threads.

Thanks Diver for the heads-up about the potential difference for some people between Nordict and Naltima. This site has so much information. Best of luck to you.
