There isn't a single member on this board -- or dare I say alcoholic period -- who does not have substantial mental health issues. I think it's safe to say that mental health issues drive every alcoholic to drink too much in the first place. But the notion that alcoholism is irrevocably intertwined with mental health issues is FALSE. I am still a neurotic. But now I'm a neurotic WHO DOESN'T DRINK 20 DRINKS IN ONE NIGHT thanks to TSM. These so-called professionals make me want to scream. It's mind-boggling to me how little they know about the realities of alcoholism.
Amen. Brother!!!
I want to update this: I have exchanged many emails with the head of dept. he seems genuinely interested in TSM, I have given him every piece of information I know of as well as giving my own experience and I have given him Dr. Sinclair's address in Finland. He asked to meet me and told me to book an appointment at the hospital with his secretary. I have tried twice but can't get passed the gate keeper who wants my name and address and social security number, I want to keep my anonymity so this is going to be a problem.
It makes me SO angry that even medical professionals- intelligent, well educated people, who have studied for years are still brainwashed by AA's bullshit. When is that god awful cult going to be put out of business??!!
